Position Overview:


As an Account Manager at Wonder, you will serve as the primary liaison between the agency and our clients, driving strategic growth and ensuring the successful execution of projects. With 30% of your responsibilities dedicated to project management, you will balance client relationship-building with overseeing deliverables, timelines, and team collaboration. Your role will involve strategic planning, managing client expectations, onboarding new accounts, and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling. You will be a crucial part of ensuring client satisfaction and long-term success.


Successful Outcomes:


Short-term (first 3-6 months):

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with existing and new clients.
  • Develop strategic client plans that align with their goals and communicate these strategies effectively.
  • Oversee project timelines, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within scope.
  • Provide clear and actionable status reports to clients, outlining next steps.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling services by assessing client needs and developing tailored proposals.

Long-term (6-12 months and beyond):

  • Consistently drive client growth by offering strategic recommendations that add value to their business.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute integrated campaigns that achieve measurable results.
  • Maintain client retention and satisfaction through proactive communication, negotiation, and problem-solving.
  • Contribute feedback on project management processes to improve efficiency and team productivity.
  • Position Wonder as an indispensable partner for each client, driving business development and long-term partnerships.


Core Responsibilities:


Client Relationship Management & Strategic Growth:

  • Develop comprehensive strategy plans that align with client goals.
  • Lead client communication, including status updates, next steps, and reporting on KPIs.
  • Present compelling recommendations and results to clients, demonstrating the value of Wonder’s services.
  • Onboard new clients and provide a seamless transition from prospect to partner.
  • Assess client needs and recommend upselling or cross-selling opportunities by developing proposals and negotiating contracts.

Project Management (30%):

  • Collaborate on project planning, ensuring job openings, tasks, timelines, and milestones are clearly defined.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of client projects.
  • Ensure scope of work is followed and negotiate adjustments when necessary.
  • Regularly update stakeholders on project statuses, identifying risks and ensuring expectations are managed.


Soft Skills:


  • Persuasive Presenter: Deliver compelling presentations that clearly articulate value, insights, and results to clients and internal teams.
  • Empathetic Leadership: Lead with empathy, understanding individual team strengths and navigating challenges with a positive, constructive approach.
  • Natural Curiosity: Stay updated on the latest digital marketing trends and strategies, ensuring Wonder remains at the forefront of marketing.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster collaboration across teams and departments, ensuring that all campaigns are aligned and executed cohesively.

Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of experience in a marketing or advertising agency, with a proven track record of managing multiple clients and projects across industries.
  • Strong proficiency in Google Docs and other collaborative tools.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create persuasive presentations and proposals.
  • Experience working with diverse industries and project types.
  • Proven ability to balance client satisfaction with project management, ensuring both strategic and operational success.

3. If accepted, we'll schedule a 30-minute zoom interview to discuss your qualifications.

- We'll accept or reject your interview within 3 days.


Candidate Phase:

4. If accepted, you're considered a Qualified Candidate and will be asked to take the Kolbe A Assessment and the Working Genius Assessment. You'll get copies of both for free.

- Based on the assessment insights, we'll inform you if you're moving forward or disqualified from the process at this step. 

5. If accepted, you'll come in for a 90 minute interview with relevant team members at our offices.

- Based on the interview insights, we'll inform you if you're moving forward or disqualified from the process at this step. 

6. If accepted, you'll be held in our Final Candidate Queue and will be asked to come in for a Final In-Person Interview with the Hiring Manager. 

- Based on the interview insights, we'll inform you if you're remaining in the Final Candidate Queue or disqualified from the process at this step.


Verbal Offer:

7. Once we have all Final Candidates to this step in the process, we’ll extend an offer to our desired Candidate verbally. You’ll have 24 hours to let us know any questions that you may have to be fully informed to make a decision.


Formal Offer:

8. If you approve the Verbal Offer, you’ll receive all details in a Formal Offer Letter and have 48 Hours to accept the offer.
