Position Overview:


The Account Director, Brand Strategy at Wonder is a strategic partner and relationship leader , responsible for managing client engagements, growing accounts, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional marketing and creative solutions. This role exists to retain, lead, and increase client AGI (Agency Gross Income), while fostering trusted client partnerships and maintaining the health, profitability, and performance of assigned accounts. As a leadership seat, this role has Lead, Manage, and hold Accountable (LMA) responsibility for "client growth" and provides strategic oversight for all clients, rather than daily oversight. They directly manage approximately half of the agency’s client portfolio while overseeing Account Managers on the remaining accounts, ensuring alignment, creative excellence, and strategic focus across all work.

  • Trusted Client Partnerships: Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with both existing and new clients, positioning Wonder as an indispensable partner.
  • Strategic Client Planning: Develop and communicate strategic plans that align with client goals , identifying opportunities to deepen engagement and drive business growth.
  • Project Delivery & Oversight: Manage project timelines and deliverables with precision, ensuring high-quality execution and proactive issue resolution.
  • Creative Stewardship: Provide discerning review and feedback on creative deliverables, ensuring work is on-brand, on-strategy, and meeting client objectives.
  • Revenue Growth & Retention: Identify and propose upselling and cross-selling opportunities  to help clients expand their marketing strategies, achieve greater results, and maintain strong client satisfaction and retention.
  • Campaign Execution Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integrated campaigns are well-executed, cohesive, and measurable.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure the effective utilization of the account team, drive operational consistency, and oversee the timely and on-budget delivery of client work.

Qualifications:


  • 15+ years of experience in a marketing, advertising, or creative agency environment, with a proven ability to manage multiple client relationships and projects.
  • Strong background in both client relationship management and project oversight.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft persuasive presentations and clear proposals.
  • Demonstrated success working across a variety of industries and campaign types.
  • Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.

3. If accepted, we'll schedule a 30-minute zoom interview to discuss your qualifications.

- We'll accept or reject your interview within 3 days.


Candidate Phase:

4. If accepted, you're considered a Qualified Candidate and will be asked to take the Kolbe A Assessment and the Working Genius Assessment. You'll get copies of both for free.

- Based on the assessment insights, we'll inform you if you're moving forward or disqualified from the process at this step. 

5. If accepted, you'll come in for a 90 minute interview with relevant team members at our offices.

- Based on the interview insights, we'll inform you if you're moving forward or disqualified from the process at this step. 

6. If accepted, you'll be held in our Final Candidate Queue and will be asked to come in for a Final In-Person Interview with the Hiring Manager. 

- Based on the interview insights, we'll inform you if you're remaining in the Final Candidate Queue or disqualified from the process at this step.


Verbal Offer:

7. Once we have all Final Candidates to this step in the process, we’ll extend an offer to our desired Candidate verbally. You’ll have 24 hours to let us know any questions that you may have to be fully informed to make a decision.


Formal Offer:

8. If you approve the Verbal Offer, you’ll receive all details in a Formal Offer Letter and have 48 Hours to accept the offer.
